Battle of the Sexes, Suburbicon, Daddy’s Home 2 & Disney Songs

Oscar-winner Emma Stone tackles Billie-Jean King, facing off against Steve Carell’s Bobby Riggs in Battle of the Sexes – but who gets KO’d? Laurie also saw George Clooney’s Suburbicon with Matt Damon, co-written with the Coen Brothers, and Daddy’s Home 2 with Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg and… Mel Gibson?? Phil takes us through a tour of top Disney songs, and we wonder what it is that makes the good ones great. Listen out for your emails and tweets towards the end of the show, and send more of your thoughts and comments in to superbaileybros@gmail.com and @superbaileybros. Thanks for listening!

Borg McEnroe, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Lucky Number Slevin, Stranger Than Fiction, Ultraviolet & Movie Theme Songs

We both saw Kingsman: The Golden Circle, reuniting most of the original cast for Matthew Vaughn’s sequel and hopeful franchise starter; how does it hold up? Phil managed to catch Shia LaBeouf in sports docu-drama Borg McEnroe, and WWBW features Milla Jovovich in Ultraviolet, Josh Hartnett & Lucy Liu in Lucky Number Slevin, and Will Ferrell & Emma Thompson in Stranger Than Fiction. We even squeezed in time to chat about the forgotten art of movie theme songs a la ‘Kiss from a Rose’ by Seal. Listen out for your emails & tweets towards the end of the show, and keep them coming to superbaileybros@gmail.com and @superbaileybros – thanks for tuning in!

My Cousin Rachel, BLAME!, Children of Men, Sense & Sensibility, Gladiator, How to Train Your Dragon and Movie Fan Frustration

Rachel Weisz tackles Daphne du Maurier’s enigmatic heroine in My Cousin Rachel, while BLAME! sees Netflix release a feature-length adaptation of a long-running Japanese manga series. Laurie saw both of these and also covers Children of Men and Gladiator for WWBW, with Phil taking a crack at How to Train Your Dragon and  Sense & Sensibility. He also tries to explain how he handles movie fan frustration when friends don’t pick up on a film in quite the same way. Thanks for your emails and tweets! Keep them coming to superbaileybros@gmail.com and @superbaileybros – and of course, thanks for listening.
