Paddington 2, Only the Brave, Rian Johnson’s Star Wars Trilogy, Paper Towns & The Legend of 1900

The lovable marmalade-guzzling bear is back in Paddington 2, Paul King’s follow-up to the hugely successful 2014 adaptation, bringing the Browns back together and adding Hugh Grant to the mix. Should you care about the bear this time round? Laurie also saw Only the Brave, based on the real lives of the Granite Mountain Hotshots in the run-up to the Yarnell Hill wildfire of 2013, starring Josh Brolin and Miles Teller. We cover yet another story from Disney and Star Wars about Rian Johnson’s surprise bonus trilogy, set somewhere else in that Galaxy far, far away, while WWBW returns with Cara Delevingne in Paper Towns and Tim Roth in The Legend of 1900, requested a long time ago by one of our listeners. Borg McEnroe, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Lucky Number Slevin, Stranger Than Fiction, Ultraviolet & Movie Theme Songs

We both saw Kingsman: The Golden Circle, reuniting most of the original cast for Matthew Vaughn’s sequel and hopeful franchise starter; how does it hold up? Phil managed to catch Shia LaBeouf in sports docu-drama Borg McEnroe, and WWBW features Milla Jovovich in Ultraviolet, Josh Hartnett & Lucy Liu in Lucky Number Slevin, and Will Ferrell & Emma Thompson in Stranger Than Fiction. We even squeezed in time to chat about the forgotten art of movie theme songs a la ‘Kiss from a Rose’ by Seal. Listen out for your emails & tweets towards the end of the show, and keep them coming to superbaileybros@gmail.com and @superbaileybros – thanks for tuning in!

Film-fest time! 4 awesome (we hope!) movies to talk about this week – Laika Studio’s Kubo & The Two Strings has finally made it across the Atlantic, Cannes favourite Hell or High Water with Chris Pine & Ben Foster has also landed, and Laurie managed to squeeze in the Ben-Hur remake with Toby Kebbell alongside Jason Statham in Mechanic: Resurrection too.
